Well, Poppy loves to be positive and happy, usually keeping her clan happy along with her. Its easy to become friends with her because of her happy go lucky attitude.

Poppy hates fighting, thus tries to avoid battles as much as possible. This leads back to when her apprentice died in her first battle, she almost seemed like a daughter to her. Also Poppy could get to obnoxious at times not appropriate. She's hard at noticing small details like these. She also takes her position rather carelessly.

Poppystar was born into a big family; she had 3 siblings at the time that she loved to play with. She was the smallest and weakest of the litter yet she had the biggest heart. She loved to fool around with her siblings and hear stories from the elders. Growing up Poppy was far from being strong as an apprentice, she was weak and tiny; yet the lack of muscle made up for in speed. Poppy was usually found chasing rabbits in the grasslands, unlike the normal stalking technique taught by mentors. Poppy was able to catch these rabbits too, she was far too impatient and full of energy to just wait for them to fall in her paws. Even though the young apprentice had a gift of hunting rabbits, she was awful at fighting and drawing blood to other cats. She hated to hurt anyone from other clans that she usually got along with at meetings. She knew it was against the warrior code but she wouldn't dare see another cat get hurt because of her. Let it be a friend or an enemy. Somehow Poppy was able to become a warrior despite her lack of fighting. She provided plenty of prey for her clan, and that’s what mattered at the time. Mistclan barely had any battles during the time Poppy was a warrior, but the few they had Poppy stayed back to help the medicine cat or elders. She knew she wouldn't be much of a help anyways. After many moons of being a warrior and providing her clan with prey and high spirits Poppy was appointed an apprentice. This concept was so surreal to her; she barely was able to make it to a warrior herself. She taught the eager apprentice everything she knew about hunting and soon Riverpaw was practically a master at it (well in Poppy's mind at least). Yet Poppy struggled to teach her about fighting, which was one of her weaknesses as well. She asked her best friend to help so they could co-teach River. At the time Poppy's friend didn't have an apprentice and was able to find time to help.  After a few moons River was a warrior, a well-deserved one too. Soon after her ceremony another battle was started between Mistclan and adderclan over one of their borders. It wasn't that big of a battle, only a few warriors fought, and somehow the young River snuck in to fight with her clan. She was the only one to die that day and it was an easy victory for Mistclan. From that day forward Poppystar had tried to prevent battles at all costs. All she wanted was peace. Poppystar wouldn't get over her old apprentices death, she kept telling herself that it was her fault that river died because she hadn't trained him well enough. A few moons later (poppy got over rivers death by then) Poppy was promoted to deputy after her clans former leaders death. Poppy was promoted because of her positive attitude that had seemed to glow even during tough times. She also had many followers from other clans, creating peace within them too. This was strange to other cats at the meetings. Never before had a cat so fragile and small become deputy. But to the ones she talked with, they understood completely. Sometime after, the leader had retired to become elder after breaking his leg by the river. As a new leader, Poppystar promised to restore any lost joy and peace.
